The AXL program has one focus - to provide personalized learning assistance to children as they grapple with the challenge of reading, in their own mother tongues and in English. AXL provides such assistance through the following offers:

Teacher Assistant at school

A teacher grapples with several challenges in a classroom. One such challenge is the varying levels of reading competence in a single classroom. Having a single learning plan for children with multiple competence levels reduces the efficacy of teaching. ALL provides a way for a teacher to assess the reading competency of her class, assign students to cohorts based on this, get personalized recommendations and design lesson activities tailored to each cohort. This is achieved through ALL’s discovery mechanism and can be accessed from a simple tablet.

School practice assistant

For the child at school, personalized help leveraging AI can create a safe space to practice reading skills. A computer, usually in the school computer lab, equipped with an internet connection and a microphone, can be used to practice reading through personalized guidance a few times a week. AI helps focus on each child’s unique reading struggles and mitigates them through practice.

For the child at home

Young children are constantly learning. The quest to master reading is not confined to the school environment. For children at home, ALL offers an interactive chatbot that can have conversations with the child and answer her questions. The bot uses generative AI to provide personalized assistance to the child at home. It can be accessed at home using a parent’s device.

Community learning and assessment tool

These tools are also available for community users - individual schools and community organizations. Users could use the tools as diagnostic devices, or to design their own remedial interventions. For communities, ALL offers a hosted version of these tools, making it easy to adopt and administer.
